What a breath of fresh air. Many collectors have been searching for cards featuring their favorite players wearing the colors of their home country. During the Olympic and World Cup years, collectors were given sets with the themes, but the cards pictured players on their NHL teams. Many of your favorite USA, Canadian, and European stars are featured within the sets and all donning the colors of their homeland. The checklist ranges from legends like Vladislav Tretiak, to modern day stars like Steve Yzerman and Martin Brodeur. Up and coming NHLers such as Evgeni Malkin and Angelo Esposito also crack the lineup.

The set contains great photography from the past and present. Although the picture quality on some of the older players could be nicer, just seeing them wearing their red, white and blue or red maple leaf is a bonus in itself. Each card also has the year displayed on the front from the international game they played, and information about the player's participation.

Just like the 03-04 ITG Used Signature Series, the set contains one memorabilia card per pack. Collectors will find similar themes from ITG's past such as emblems, numbers, single, double, triple and complete jersey cards. Collectors will definitely be impressed with some of the International Teammate combos that includes the Russian Dynamic Duo of Alexander Ovechkin and Evgeni Malkin.

As if one autograph per pack wasn't enough, ITG included autographed versions of their jersey, emblem and number patch sets. The new Quad Patch cards should also be a favorite of collectors. As will some of the gold versions of the memorabilia set that are limited to just one copy in some of the sets.

Similar to their widely popular 03-04 In the Game Used Signature Series, ITG brings collectors one autograph and one memorabilia card per pack. The checklist is just as extensive now as it was then. Be on the lookout for Limited and X-tra Limited autographs (checklist available on ITG's website). Stars such as Sidney Crosby, Mario Lemieux, Patrick Roy, and Alexander Ovechkin can all be found within the set. ITG also brought back the autographs of the much anticipated return of the legendary Mark Messier.

While the star power of the autographs will knock you off your socks, I have one small complaint. Sticker autographs from a product as pricey as this is tough to swallow. But the bonus side is no redemptions. ITG makes sure they produce their product without the hassle of autograph redemptions for their customers.
