   Base Card Scan
Comments:

The 2006 Bowman Chrome Baseball design this year is nice and clean looking and historically near the same as regular 2006 Bowman Baseball. Really high-quality cards on nice high-quality stock with superb action or posed shots that we expect from a Bowman Chrome product. The back of the cards has a short bio of the player including sections on Resume, Skills and Evolution.

   First Bowman Card Scan
Comments:

The 1st Bowman Chrome card logo affixed to these cards designates that this is a Major League prospect still in the Minors. The backs have the players' short bio from the minor leagues including sections on Resume, Skills and Up-Close. We pulled (36) Prospects cards from our 18 packs of cards in this box.

   Rookie Card Scan
Comments:

The Bowman Chrome rookies have the new rookie logo on the bottom portion of the card. The backs have the same bio information as the prospects cards. We pulled (4) rookies from our 18 packs of cards in this box.

   Insert Card Scan
Comments:

We pulled (8) refractors out of this box also. They included

  • (2) Xfractor /250
  • (1) Blue Refractor /150
  • (5) Refractors

   Autograph Scan
Comments:

One rookie players autographed card topped the box off very nicely. The autograph is of Prince Fielder of the Milwaukee Brewers. The autograph looks better in person than the scan does. Very nice high-quality autograph.

   The Final Verdict!

I rate this box a 4 of 5 HI Fives. 2006 Bowman Chrome Baseball is a very nice product, but I would have liked to see more rookie cards throughout the box instead of prospects. I would buy this product because of the high quality of the base set, refractors and autographed cards in the box we opened to review. You can usually find these boxes in the $70 to $87 price range.
