Comments:

The 2006 Bowman Draft Picks and Prospects Baseball is a nice quality product in the medium range of the price scale. The cards have a real nice look and feel to them. The chrome cards are of very high quality. The back of the cards has a short bio of the player. There's also a section called Scouting Report with sub sections titled Resume, Skills and Up Close. The Bowman or Bowman Chrome logo is located in the upper left hand corner on the front of the cards.

Comments:

The "Bowman Home of the Rookie Card" saying, was never more prevalent than in this box. We pulled (67) rookie cards in this one box. Here's the breakdown;

  • (47) Bowman
  • (12) Bowman Chrome
  • (7) Bowman Gold Border
  • (1) Bowman Chrome Refractor
All of the rookie cards have the new rookie logo in the same spot this year. It's located on the left hand side of the card about two thirds of the way down. A lot easier to spot the rookies.

Comments:

We pulled a lot of Prospects in this box that are identified as 1st year cards. These cards are prospects that haven't made it into the majors yet. These are not true rookie cards of the player depicted. If they make it into the majors they will then have a rookie card with the rookie logo as players in the rookie card section have. It's a little confusing, but I had to try and clear this up. With that said there are some nice parallels of the 1st year cards. We pulled a white bordered /225, many gold bordered, a refractor, a blue refractor /150 and a xfractor /199.

Comments:

The Game Used card we pulled is an authentic Futures Game Worn Jersey of Eric Hurley of the Texas Rangers.

Comments:

The autograph is a super nice autograph of Matt Long of the Chicago White Sox. Nice clean autograph with no bubbling, separation or breaks.

   The Final Verdict!

I rate this box a 5 of 5 HI Fives. 2006 Bowman Draft Picks and Prospects Baseball is a medium-priced, very high-quality sports card product. You can usually find these boxes in the $55 to $79 price range. Very good value for the money in my opinion.
