Comments:

2006 Topps Finest Football is a great new-age looking design. The design and quality seem to get better every year on this product. The back of the cards has a short bio along with a complete statistical listing of the player's last year. Also included is the players' Finest 2005-2006 Moment.

Here's the breakdown on the rookie pulls;

  • 2 Green Refractor /199 RC
  • 1 Gold Xfractor /10 RC

Comments:

The inserts/parallels are at least one per pack in this box. Our pulls included;

  • 3 Refractor /399
  • 2 Blue Refractor /299
  • 2 Red Xfractor /250
  • 2 Blue Xfractor /150
  • 3 Brett Favre Finest Moments

   Box Topper Scan
Comments:

The box topper we pulled was a Johnny Unitas Finest Moments card. The card states that Johnny Unitas threw at least one touchdown in 47 consecutive games. Brett Favre's 36 game run with consecutive TDs is a distant second place.

   Autograph Card Scan
Comments:

We pulled three nice autographed rookie cards in this box of Topps Finest. Here's the details;

  • Michael Robinson
  • Cory Rodgers
  • Greg Jennings Refractor /399
The Rodgers and the Jennings are nice high-quality autographs, while the Robinson shows some bubbling at the bottom front leg of the "M" and at the bottom front leg of the "R".
   The Final Verdict!

I rate this box a 4 1/2 of 5 HI Fives. A very nice high quality set in my opinion. In the past, some of the Finest sets had a little bow to the cards; these do not. There has been a vast improvement in quality in this years cards over the last two years. These boxes are priced in the $103 to $139 price range on the web sites I have checked. Good value for the money if you pull at least one nice rookie autograph.
