   Base Card Scan
Comments:

2006 Topps Finest Baseball is one of the best looking sets of the year. What a neat new design to actually incorporate the baseball diamond into the front of the cards. Inside the base paths is the players position in a sort of fade-out look and feel. The back of the cards also carries the same look as the front with the baseball diamond concept. The back of the cards has a short bio along with a complete statistical listing of the players' last year in the major or minor leagues and their respective 2005 Finest moment.

   Rookie Card Scan
Comments:

We only pulled (2) rookies from this box that weren't autographs with the new rookie card logo. They were Dustin Nippert of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Charlton Jimerson of the Houston Astros. At this time I don't know if these are error cards as I don't see the Finest logo on the front of the cards.

   Insert Card Scans

Comments:

The inserts are very plentiful in this box. Our pulls included;

  • (4) Refractors /399
  • (2) Refractors /299
  • (1) Refractors /199
  • (1) Refractors /99
  • (2) Xfractors /250
  • (1) Xfractors /50

   Autograph Card Scan
Comments:

All three of the autographed cards pulled were refractors. Here's the details;

  • (1) Refractor Jose Guillen FA-JG
  • (1) Refractor Jason Botts Rookie Card Logo /399
  • (1) Refractor Nelson Cruz Rookie Card Logo /199
   The Final Verdict!

I rate this box a 4 1/2 of 5 HI Fives. A very nice high quality set in my opinion. In the past some of the Finest sets had a little bow to the cards; these do not. You can usually find these boxes in the $95 to $119 price range on the web sites I have checked. Good value for the money in my opinion.
