   Base Cards Scan
Comments:

The base cards in 2007 Topps Co-Signers feature two large photos of the player on the front. The photo on the right is in color, while the background photo is done in an etching type pattern. The card is accented by silver foil on the the top and bottom. The backs of the cards have a nice color photo of the player along with recent season stats.

The cards are slightly thicker than the average baseball card, and the checklist includes 100 different players. It's definitely something you'd expect in a mid-range priced product

   Rookie Card Scan
Comments:

There are two types of rookie cards in Co-Signers, unsigned and signed rookie cards. You get at least one autographed rookie card out of the three autographs in a box. We managed to pull two, including the popular Alex Gordon. We were also lucky enough to pull one of the better non-autographed rookie cards from the set with a Daisuke Matsuzaka

While the autograph on the rookie cards is a nice enhancement, I'm not totally sold on the holographic silver stickers the autographs come on. Of course, I'd prefer the card hard signed, but if they use stickers, I'd like to see something that isn't as bold or something that doesn't detract from the card. Perhaps a clear sticker instead.

   Numbered Parallel Card Scan
Comments:

There are nine parallel cards on average in every 2007 Topps Co-Signers box. Basically, any pack that doesn't contain an autograph will have a parallel card in its place. There are three different tiers for the parallel cards: Colored, Silver, and Hyper Silver. The colored versions have the photo on the left in a different color tone. The Silvers have a metallic foil board type front and the Hyper Silver feature the same metallic card stock but have a holographic refractor look to them. The serial numbers range from just one copy with the Hyper Plaid Silver parallel up to 275 copies for the regular red parallel.

Each parallel version is also broken up into different assortments and serial numbers based on the color of the top and bottom borders. The parallels also feature a facsimile autograph on the front in matching foil colors. Unlike the base set cards, the parallels have two different players on the card instead of just the single player, making for a nice combo card for your collection.

   Box Topper Card Scan
Comments:

Topps continues it's cross-product insert promotion in Co-Signers with another assortment of Alex Rodriguez home run cards. You get two of the A-Rod Home Run cards in a special pack in each Co-Signers box. Topps is commemorating each of A-Rod's homers with a special card as he nears the 500 Home run mark. Co-Signers includes homers 176-200 from his career.

There are also very rare one-of-one autograph variations that are hiding somewhere inside boxes of Bowman out there.

   Co-Signer Autograph Card Scan
Comments:

Each box contains at least one dual autographed Co-Signers card on average. These also utilize the bold holographic sticker autographs on them. There are over 65 different co-signer autographs that feature current MLB stars. For a twist, Topps even combined autographs of MLB stars and Astronauts for their "Moon Shots" set. The highlight of the Co-Signers set will definitely be the dual cut autographs featuring the likes of Joe Dimaggio and Mickey Mantle.

Along with the dual Co-Signer autographs, there are Tri-Signers triple autographs inserted at a rate of one per case. You can also find solo signatures of the MLB stars and Astronauts within the boxes as well.

   The Final Verdict!

I gave this set a 4 out of 5 H.I. Fives. Topps Co-Signers is definitely a fun break with a hit in every pack. However, the quantity seems to slightly outweigh the quality when it comes to the inserts in this product. If you like chasing parallels, you'll have a field day trying to track down all the different variations that Topps has made available. Three autographs, including one dual autograph, per box provides some good value for the box though.

Like most mid-range to high-end products, this one can be pretty hit or miss based on the large autograph checklist. There are definitely some home run hits in the product, but if you do swing and miss, at least the bite on the wallet won't be as hard as some of the other higher end products on the market that aren't as much fun to break.
