   Base Card Scans

Comments:

2007 Topps Opening Day Baseball is very much the same as the regular 2007 Topps Baseball Set. The thing that makes it stand alone is that instead of the black background they went with white, and I think it outclasses the 2007 Topps set. Not just in looks alone, but with a real nice parallel set of Opening Day April 1, 2007, numbered to /2007. The top of the card has the Topps logo along with the players team. The bottom of the card has the Opening Day logo along with the players name. There is also a facsimile auto on the front of the card. The back of he cards has a short bio and a complete statistical list of the players time in the majors. If the player hasn't been in the majors that long, they also list the players minor league experience.

   Rookie Card Scans

Comments:

We pulled 14 rookie cards in our box of 2007 Topps Opening Day. Rookie cards can be easily identified with the Rookie Card logo near the top of the card. Here is the breakdown on the rookie cards pulled;

  • (10) Regular Rookie Cards
  • (4) Opening Day Rookie Cards

   Insert Card Scans

Comments:

The inserts came at us fast and furious out of this box...Here's the results of the inserts;

  • (2) A-Rod Road to 500 Cards
  • (11) Puzzle Cards
  • (10) Diamond Stars Cards
  • (4) Movie Gallery Cards
I added Ethier to the scans to show the All-Star rookies also.

   The Final Verdict!

I rate this box a 4 of 5 HI Fives. 2007 Topps Opening Day Baseball is a nicely designed sports card product. You can usually find these boxes in the $20 to $30 price range. Very nice price and good value for the money in my opinion. If you want to do a Baseball set, this would be a good choice.
