Hi all. I dont post in the Football area at all but I came across a cool thing at the In-Laws tonight. I was at a BBQ and my Mother in Law was going through some old photo albums and tossing the pics she didnt want. I started flipping through a few of them and came across these.....

A great ticket stub to the 1938 Rose Bowl. Califonia Golden Bears vs Alabama Crimson Tide. I was amazed that she was tossing this out. All the pics were taken by her father. The stub is in amazing condition. I also grabbed this.....

A postcard from the Agua Caliente horse race track with a betting stub in Mexico circa 1934. Cool. The postcard was from her father to his parents stating "Want me to place a couple of bets for you? Long way from home eh? Having a swell time. No winners as yet but you never know your luck. Bill"

Anyways, I just thought I'd share these neat pieces.

Thanks for the look, Doug.

The 1938 Rose Bowl was played on January 1, 1938, and was the 24th Rose Bowl. The game featured the California Golden Bears against the Alabama Crimson Tide, two of the top teams from the 1937 college football season. This game was the fifth trip to Pasadena for the Tide, which won all four previous Rose Bowl games.

Cal 13 Alabama 0

Appear to be pics of the parade then the game that followed.
Great Pieces

If trading the Football pics and stub I'd be very interested as far as the Race just looks like he hit the track also for some fun. Don't know of any significance for it.
