Question about custom cards…sort of

So a friend of mine collects oddball/team issued stuff of local players he knows or played with at some point.

Many of the cards are impossible to find. The one card he did find once and gave the copy to the player. If he got that card and scanned it front and back, would it be ok to create a “custom” card from that to put in his collection or would it be frowned upon?

Hi Scott:

I actually think the most important factor in the decision is actually your friend, for several reasons:

1. It’s his collection and he should be happy what he has within it.
2. IMO it’s not a sin to have an imaged copy as long as he’s not a flipper. If he ever thinks of flipping he should provide full disclosure.
3. I’ve deleted my 3rd point as it would probably fire up the investing constituents too much lol.
 
Hey Scott, I think you should get your friend to commission Glenn to do a custom (if he were interested of course) of said player, his customs look great in person
