Any Tips for types of Traders to bring?

Any Tips for types of Traders to bring?

Excerpt from the most recent edition of Insider's Edge:

Most collectors go to shows looking to buy cards, but they can also be good places to sell or trade cards to dealers. Don't get carried away and bring your entire collection, but bringing along a few cards you're looking to dump isn't a bad idea. Just remember that dealers need to re-sell the cards they acquire from you, so you may not get as much value for your cards as you would selling them yourself.
Still, if there are cards you are having trouble moving, a show can help. Even if you can't get rid of them at the show, simply talking to dealers about them and feeling out the interest in them can be a positive.

I'll see you there.

So Don't expect to get full book value if I attempt to sell my JVR, Matt Duchene, John Tavares Cup RC then? lol

Good to know at least and thanks for the tip

Exactly. At the show you are allowed to sell to dealers only. If you want to sell to other collectors make sure you do it outside of the show as the dealers pay rent to be there.

I will be set up and will be looking to purchase cards. That said, unless it is a card I want for my PC I will pay between 10% and 70% of high BV, depending on the card. The hotter the card the more I will pay. The longer I think I will carry the card, the less I will pay.

If you expect to sell your cards for high BV you should open up a store or simply list your card on ebay the day after the player scores a hat trick or a game winning goal in the playoffs. And even then you won't get high BV for 95% of cards.

In any event, I look forward to meeting a bunch of new people at the show!

We'll since i'm not looking to be a dink and I'm just going to check out the experience for the sake of checking it out. I'm keeping my traders/selling stuff to a min.

if you have cup JVRs to move, I would recommend talking to a certain HI member as I am sure he will give you a better deal than any dealer you will see.

for all those HI members, you should put a name tag on with your HI name so that I know who you are, I am planning on doing that, so if you see this Dude, walking around with CHEFJASON on his shirt, its me.

For all of the H.I. user's..

I should be manning the entrance and on occasion roaming the show venue. I'll be a part of the event staff.

See ya all there this weekend.

Hoping to make the Sat show.
Any dealers who are looking to move Mike Vernon parallel/insert/GU/serial#'d cards, I'll have cash in hand.
