To celebrate the purchase of my new computer and to bury the old one, here we are once again, another live break on HI boards. Actually it's semi-live since two of the boxes were broken on Saturday but I'd figure I'd share anyway.

Don't ask me how I decide to pick up these packs and boxes, I don't know quite either.

Ok first, a quick mail day thingie.

The Malkin came from UD, the Doughty from eBay. Hard to believe that it's my first Doughty. I can get Stamkos like water but I can't get the guy I collect at all, except the UD S1 Young Guns header. Also, I've bought a few UD Black /99 redemption 108s but I can't really call those "Doughty" cards until they actually arrive.

Man I love both of these cards. The Victory Black is so good, not because it's rarity but it just looks great. The Gold version would look like crap next to it. The regular grey border looks ok too. And Ice Scripts is just the best-est auto set ever. Too bad it comes out of Trilogy...

BTW, I totally ripped off that rap. It's based on Kelis' Milkshake but normally it has 'Pokemon' and 'Charizard' instead of 'hockey breaks' and 'Kopitars'...imagine, Charizard being the EASIEST word to rhyme with in that.

I noticed there have been 2 guys going at it actively on eBay lately. I wonder who the other guy is.

The Doughty Blacks were going for 70-80 a couple months ago, now they're almost double.

94-95 SP box

Got this box literally out of Bob's garage. Bob is this really cool owner of a sports card shop in my home town Arcadia, called Hall Of Fame Sports Cards. He goes out of his way to get me boxes I want. For this one, he had to dig around at home.

And wow, it was a whammy. You don't expect the big pulls, maybe 0 to 2 Iginlas but that 2500 Gretzky...I've never seen it before and I've seen dozens of boxes broken including over 15 just by myself back in the day. It books for like $25 and I got a $10 PSP Gretzky and a $10 Iginla. I might be the only guy who has broken this box and had a BV higher than what he paid in a while! ($45 BV, I paid $40)

I also pulled an Ian Laperriere and Pavel Bure Premier SP. I think this is one of the very best looking insert sets of the 90s and that's saying something. Strange they would have Lappy in that set though, lol. (BTW, if you have a bunch of these that I need, and I need 20+ of them, I have some PayPal for you! I'm not paying anywhere near book but I am buying. )

The Deadmarsh will go right in to the PC. Not only do we Kings fans love him, but I collect 'Diques and I didn't even know Deadmarsh was ever in a fleur jersey. Kings, Kings and more Kings...and some goalie dude with a first name for his last name.

More fun: I also got a bunch of Samsonovs, Blaine Lachers, Jim Careys and Patrick Lalimes (I think). I broke this box to help make a set from packs. Hopefully I accomplished that. Despite how much I broke back in the day, I never had a set of this because the Samsonovs, Petrunins and other guys would always sell/trade fast.

So now I've pushed the price to over 150 but I'm willing to pay even more if it gets to that.
