Hey,

Well, ever since Ebay changed the way listing appear the picture no longer appears in the description. I've been trying to use a html image code to add a picture to the description, but have had no luck. This is what I think it image code should look like, but for some reason the image won't show just the code.:|

Any help would be great, thanks in advance. :)

I do the self hosting option from ebay and when I go to photobucket I use the direct link. Starts out http:// or something like that. Haven't had a problem.

Hey,

Thanks for the assistance. The thing is, Prior to the change the picture would show at both the top of the listing and in the description, but now it's only at the top. How can I get the picture in the description as well?

This is my failed attempt.....

I think you have to get the <IMG src=" out of there. Also the " at the end. It should start http:// and end with no quotes in there.

Just read the rest. I think you have to pay for the extra picture under the auction. I think the free one is just to the left of the auction head. At least I think that's how it's done now.

I always do the same thing in my listings and they all work the same. You get your free "eBay hosted" picture, and then I link to my Photobucket so people get a full-sized view in the description.

Here's a copy/ paste from one of my items:

Hope that helps!

Hi,

Still no luck. I even tried using your image code above and all that shows in the auction is the code, no picture comes up. I'm completely lost :|

Thanks

Very strange - I use it daily, and have no issues :(

I use ebay.ca - are you on ebay.com?

Maybe they've made a change there and they haven't hit .ca yet?

Try switching from the standard tab to the HTML tab and paste the <img src=" "> code there and it should fix your problem.

Hey,

Yep, that did the trick. I don't know why I didn't think of that :|

Also big props to Ebay customer support. I sent this question to them Saturday and had a very detailed response Sunday morning. They deserve one of these

Thanks, Rich
