I have a bit of a beef with UD. In this year's Trilogy, they have produced a Danny Taylor autographed card. Now, I found this by fluke, because I have a PC of Danny Taylor. He played for the Frontenacs and I actually bought his old pads from the team. He played all of 20 minutes, 2 seasons ago, for the LA Kings. Since then, he has bounced around from the ECHL and the AHL. He was up with the Jackets' farm team for a few games this year. He didn't play a single game in the NHL last year and quite honestly, he may never play another game again.

Why does he have an autographed card in an 09-10 product? It is a sticker, so I suspect that UD has a stock pile of them and are just trying to get rid of them. So, where do they put it? In the $25 a pack product. What garbage. Why don't they just put this crap in with Victory or Collector's Choice since those products are crap anyway? I can't imagine how angry I would be at paying $25 a pack and pulling an auto that is completely worthless. How many more autos like this are in that product?? This is the reason why I would never pay that much for a pack of cards.

This is nothing new for UD. Cup-o-coffee guys get TONS of sticker autos and they are inserted (usually with the exact same photo) in many different products. If they gave a crap, they'd toss the stickers or at least wait until the player makes it back to the NHL. Sadly, it's evident they really don't care

wait! He played in an NHL game!!

go talk to Kevin Nastiuk who has never played a game, yet an 05-06 circa auto showed up as a "signature sensations" in last years UD series. A lot of happy campers with that case hit!!!

so you have a Danny Taylor PC and even buy his game used stuff, think his stuff is worthless, and are mad at UD for making cards of a guy you like and collect. that makes no sense at all. some rants such as players getting flooded into products with 20+ cards to chase in one set is understandable but you're upset that UD even made even 1 card of guy you like? according to you, it wouldn't make any difference if they put the Danny Taylor auto into the lower end sets like Collectors Choice and Victory since you think they're crap sets anyways. at the same time, you wouldn't pay for a Trilogy pack either.

who cares what product they release his cards from. if you collect him and you think he's dirt cheap, be happy and buy his singles for cheap.

And lest we forget Jared Aulin, who appeared in more products than games...

Danny Taylor

I didn't buy the pads because I liked Danny Taylor. I bought the pads because they were a cheap pro replacement for the pads that I was using at the time to play. I am still using the Taylor pads now. I started collecting him right after he played his first 20 minutes in the NHL because I thought it was neat that I had his pads and now he was there. I have all of his RCs but I needed the "O" from UD Black to complete a 2nd set. That was how I found this auto. I bought it, for $1 plus shipping. Only because I have the rest of them. I am just saying that it is a waste of an auto in a premium product. That is why I won't buy the premium products. There are no autos in stuff like Victory and Collector's choice, so why not pop those in at a healthy ratio? That crap is mainly for kids anyway. A kid would be pretty happy pulling an auto of anyone and for the $1 to $2 a pack, it wouldn't feel like you are getting ripped off.

I like the other suggestion that frankiefives had though, just hold them in case he does make it back to the NHL.

This years trilogy autos are simply one word ..... WHACK

Danny Taylor aint the only one, check out the checklists at who they are calling "Superstars", thats the real comedy

Hahaha. That would be a sight to see.

I can't complain. I got the pads and gloves for $500. The pads alone, would have been $2500 new, plus the gloves.

I still don't understand the mentality of buying Trilogy. Every year it's nothing but junk and every year the complaints pour in. I'm loving the beating UD is taking (mainly because they're reaping what they've sowed), but this is a CLASSIC example of "don't buy this ****".

I don't care who's friends with whom or how much effort went into producing this set (which is really a rehash of any other set), but it's first class, grade A, American horse feces. I challenge EVERYONE to stop giving UD a reason to produce this junk.

Yeah, I love the Frozen in Time and Ice Scripts, but I'm not buying a box for $180 or whatever it costs these days. I got the cards I wanted in the first week after release, mostly from HI, so why waste the money on the break.

i have a confession to make, "I JASON, AM A TRILOGY ADDICT" im sorry its because of me UD is still producing trilogy, i promise next year i wont do it. so if you'all just send me your base and crappy auto's i can put the blasted set to rest and figure out what kinda crack i can do for next season..lol. ps "slave13" i need a dan taylor auto for the set, hope the pads are working better for you than him..

I would love to take some of your Taylor PC off your hands since he is actually a buddy of mine and I appreciate his cards!
