I know that Panini's contract took over on July 1st. Does anyone out there know when the first Panini hockey release will be? Does anyone know what the right website is to go to for them?
 
Checking our distributor, looks like the first release will be Certified at the end of September (Sept 22nd)

Guess I missed any mention of it in the other thread, but now that I notice they have added "Prime" next to the swatch that is a great idea by Panini. It may not totally deter patch faking. But at least if there is an already great patch on the card there should be less reason for a faker to replace it with an even nicer one. And collectors will know not to trust a fantastic patch card if it doesn't say "Prime" next to it.

Definitely a good step by Panini.

They've done this for years with football and baseball. Unfortunately the "Prime" cards are faked more than any other set. If you thought patch faking was bad right now with just UD, wait until these clowns get their hands on some of the Panini stuff. The patches themselves are not snug with the window around them, thus...easy to swap.
 
Does Gordie Howe not have an exclusive with UD? I thought that they just announced that they re-signed a deal with him to continue that. On a side note, that Certfied stuff looks awesome. It worries me a bit without the next set of rookies though. I wonder if they will have redemptions for rookies in there too. I am looking forward to some variety.

2010-2011 will be Anniversary year it seems, with UD launching a set of 90-91 UD parallels, now Score... Can't wait to see how it will look like!
