It's funny, but I don't even consider what Richards said as calling out PK. Richards said what was on his mind, possibly still frustrated from being beat in the game, and directed some of it at PK, who seems to be getting a reputation as an antagonist.
PK did follow it up with a question to the media asking what he was supposed to do - not hit guys, not talk, not play his game, etc. because he's a rookie? I wouldn't expect a player to change his game when he got to the show, especially if it affects the way he plays and is the reason he is even in the NHL.
However, if someone does challenge PK, I'd expect he would defend himself and be classy about it, and realize that the way he plays, and the things he says on the ice may make him a target. I don't think he'll have a problem standing up for himself though, and I don't think Richards was wrong in his assessment. Maybe poorly worded and in not necessarily something he should have said to the media, but probably not wrong.
