For the most part, the season is coming to a close; but as we wait with anticipation as Panini and UD release the remaining products for the 2010/11 hobby year, I ask one and all who in your opinion are the most undervalued and overvalued RC's in the hobby right now?

I say overvalued is Stamkos and undervalued is Carey Price. Next...

Justin pogge cup rc\:) overvalued

undervalued-perry,getzlaf,evander kane,duncan keith,spezza,etc..etc..

Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf are certainly undervalued.

Both Canadian kids, top notch talent, Perry should be a consistent Maurice Richard trophy candidate, Getzlaf could hit 100+ points, both winners, both play with an edge and have sandpaper, both good guys.

If they were on a Canadian team like the Leafs ;) they would be monsters I think.

A lot of it has to do with draft position also. They weren't the 'sexy' 1st/2nd overall picks.

Overvalued-Steve Bernier, try buying one of his Cup rookies for a decent price, the guy is almost out of the league now.

Undervalued-Corey Perry, Possible MVP and his cards don't show it.

My best,

Ken

Value has alot to do with the team they play for. Anyone Montreal, Toronto, Detroit are gonna sell better than the same player would on Florida, Anaheim, Phoenix, etc. Alot of guys are undervalued simply because of location, whereas alot of guys are overpriced for the same reason.

undervalued-keith yandle (his cards are dirt cheap for young offensive dman)

overvalued-mike richards (nice player but i just dont see anthing special)

Ohhh those might be fighting words around here,, the boardies love their mike Richards here lol.

Over valued are the current crop of rookies 10/11

Undervalued, the majority of 05/06 rookies,, like most people have said, getzlaf, richards, perry, etc

undervalued, like a repeating record, PERRY/GETZLAF.....
overvalued??? hmm tough to say, any rookies from 10-11, most notably Nazim Kadri.

Other than thw folks mentioned above... I think Patrick Kane is overvalued.

Undervalued.... Compared to what Sid and AO stuff sells for, every other All-Star

Mike Richards is NOT undervalued. anyone who wants some of his best cards will have to pay dearly for them. competition there is fierce.

I find a lot of Richards' stuff to be fairly affordable compared to other players. Maybe cards numbered to less than /20 go for a lot. When I'm scanning eBay, his YG, Cup RC and other patch cards don't go for nearly as much as I thought they should go at.

That said, any player whose YG goes for more than $20 is overvalued. How many copes of YG are there? Like 10,000? How on earth do Crosby YG sell for $200-250 is beyond me

Undervalued: Claude Giroux - this guy is a superstar in the making

Overvalued: James Reimer - I'm sure I will take a lot of heat from Leafs fans but he's not the answer to your problems

Undervalued RC = Rick Nash 02/03 UD Premier Auto/Patch /99

Overvalued RC = Dion Phaneuf 05/06 The Cup Auto/Patch /99

I agree with both of these posts.

I'll add a couple of my own...

I think that Malkin's high-enders are overvalued. I figure he is KHL bound eventually.

And Toews is undervalued. Already a cup winner and poised for a long strong Yzerman-esque career.
