What's your time limit on waiting for a redemption?

I know I haven't been waiting that long in the grand scheme of things, but honestly, how long do you wait for a redemption to come back to you before saying enough is enough?

Currently I've got a redemption for a 2011-12 SOTT Triples of Martin Brodeur, Patrick Roy and JS Giguere, I redeemed the code on November 6, 2012 and still haven't seen it.

I honestly feel there's no excuse for this kind of delay and was just wondering when I should cut my losses and accept something else from upper deck as a replacement.

Also, how are they with replacements for redemptions? anyone have any experience? Anyone think I'm just being impatient or am I justified?

Thoughts would be appreciated

Of my 12 redemptions I am waiting on from Panini, 6 are from November 2011......

Right there with you. I have a crown royal redemption from the first crown royal set made when Panini returned. A Scratching the surface auto for my Bourque PC.

They said they have to wait for a full set to make them so that would have been last year....but got pushed to this year for some reason, and now they aren't doing a crown royal set this year. Sigh.....I may never see this card made.

I've been waiting on a Couturier Certifed rookie auto. Asked for a replacement a year after pulling it and they told me it's gonna be made and just wait...

You have to consider that with Roy and Brodeur they only do a very small number of signing sessions per year. They cost more than other players and because of the volume of cards needed, the players in question only like to do them in batches. Four months isn't that bad of a wait in their cases, to be honest.

I suspect that with the lockout over and the season in full swing, any cards that were outstanding may remain so for a while now. Priorities and all.

But this is what upsets me, there was 6 months between the end of the season, and the beginning of the shortened season where these cards could have been signed. These guys are getting paid, so why are they not signing and returning in a timely fashion.

I have a 2011-12 The Cup Signature Patches redemption as well for Brodeur that I'm not sure what I want to do with, hold onto it and wait, or offload it to someone who is willing to wait half a year to get a card they've already paid for

I do not think it is the player who we have to blame for these long overdue wait times,

I think it is the card company's fault, they should have these cards in hand at the time of the pack out. If they do not have the big names like Gretzky, Crosby, etc than don't make the redemption and insert them into the packs with the hope that they will someday get signed.

That may or may not be the case - UD's problems with this type of thing have been murmured about for quite some time now.

I wouldn't be surprised if agents told their players not to sign during the lockout

People shouldn't complain about 4-6. Well they should, cause that's still BS, but it usually takes a lot longer. I waited 11 months for the only redemption I've evern done, but it's not uncommon for them to take 14-18 months.

I redeemed my 11-12 limited card 02/21/2012

I don't dare to ask what's going on.... Last time I asked something they answered in totally different question. So my fear is if I ask, they assume I want replacement for it.
