This is a pretty awesome PPV card. There aren't as many interesting undercard fights as in recent events. But I'm not complaining.

Main Bouts (on Pay-Per-View):
Cain Velasquez (11-1; #1 Heavyweight) vs. Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva (18-4; #5 Heavyweight)
Junior dos Santos (15-2; #2 Heavyweight) vs. Mark Hunt (9-7; #10 Heavyweight)
Glover Teixeira (20-2; #9 Light Heavyweight) vs. James Te Huna (16-5)
Gray Maynard (11-1-1; #3 Lightweight) vs. T.J. Grant (20-5)
Donald Cerrone (19-5; #10 Lightweight) vs. K.J. Noons (11-6)

Preliminary Bouts (on FX):
Mike Pyle (24-8-1) vs. Rick Story (15-6)
Dennis Bermudez (10-3) vs. Max Holloway (7-1)
Colton Smith (6-1) vs. Robert Whittaker (11-2)
Khabib Nurmagomedov (19-0) vs. Abel Trujillo (10-4)

Preliminary Bouts (on Facebook):
Stephen Thompson (6-1) vs. Nah-Shon Burrell (9-2)
Brian Bowles (10-2) vs. George Roop (13-9-1)
Jeremy Stephens (20-9) vs. Estevan Payan (14-3)

Loved what Chad Dundas said on the CME podcast this week. If Silva pulls off the shocker he wants to produce T-Shirts that say "Bigfoot Is Real", too funny.

im interested in seeing how bowles does after that beatdown faber laid on him in his last fight and see how wonderboy bounces back...overall a pretty good card and I would likely buy that shirt if it god made even if silvas ugly mug was on it lol

Injuries have really derailed Bowles' career. It's been 18 months since that Faber fight. I am interested to see if he can shake the ring rust. And as for the T-Shirt, I am proud to say that I do not own any MMA clothing. With that said though I would buy that shirt in a heartbeat.

The Bowles thing is interesting. His coaches have been talking about how his hand (the one he keeps rebreaking) has been rebuilt and has all sorts of pins and screws in it now, so it shouldn't be as common as it has been (he's basically broken his hand every fight since the Cruz one in WEC)

He's basically flown under the radar here too. I haven't seen a single interview or any hype leading to his return. I didn't even realize this was the card he was coming back on either. Roop is a brave guy taking this type of fight so quickly after his last

Mike Pyle (170) vs. Rick Story (169)
Dennis Bermudez (146) vs. Max Holloway (145)
Colton Smith (170) vs. Robert Whittaker (171)

* Burrell made weight on his second attempt. Nurmagomedov failed to hit his contracted mark and will be fined 20 percent of his purse.

My brother is in Vegas and will be at the fights live. I will not get to watch the broadcast, will have to read about it, and catch it after the fact.

Sounds like a great night of fights.

$50K Bonuses - Knockout: T.J. Grant, Submission: Glover Teixeira, Fight: dos Santos/Hunt.

My brother asked for my picks, and I went 11-1. He apparently put down $20 on a six fight parlay and won $375. I highly doubt I'll see any of that though . . .

Seeing the highlights of dos Santos destroying Mark Hunt, just wow. He can takeout anyone in the Heavyweight division.

And it is great that T.J. Grant has been installed as the number 1 contender for Benson Henderson's Lightweight title. He is on one hell of a run right now.
