2015-16 Upper Deck Series 2 Checklist FINAL

Interesting there's no YG Acetates, or perhaps they're a surprise.

Have the acetate YGs ever been on a pre-release checklist? I think they've always been a bonus.

My question is ... does UD2 get released online the same day through Upper Deck's store? I can't wait to see the carnage from all of the COMC sellers who can list their entire inventory from UD2 with a few clicks. Undercut, perhaps? This may just be the most heavily liquidated release of all time.

I think the e-pack release is 2-3 weeks later

I was hoping Matt Murray (PIT) would have made the S2 checklist for a YG, since he appeared in games in late December.

I wonder if he will still appear in year end releases, or if he will be held over to next season?

I'm glad UD was able to squeeze Hrabarenka into a YG. Played 1 game last year and may never see the NHL again. Meanwhile Blandisi looks to have already cemented a permanent spot in the NHL. Granted he debuted late but there was time to fit him in.

Looks like there is another UD update set inserted in SP Authentic this year. I thought that might have been a one time thing to take advantage of the Andrew Hammond hype last year, but it appears not. Pretty sure it was 20 traded players and 10 Young Guns. Still a chance!

But also 4 High Gloss Young Guns for you to chase....ouch

I hate you. :D

But yes, after seeing the regular cards and thinking 'That's not too bad,' I saw the YGs and definitely thought '%$#(%&)# $&$^# &)#$&)^$&.' And then I added in a 'Shootdarn' for good measure

I think that might have been mentioned in the SPA sell sheet for this year, so I think you can count on it

Wait... The Group A Doug Gilmour Game Jersey is 1:588,924 packs? Holy $h|t

And jerseys are 1:48 overall instead of 1:24, so one in every other box for S2.

I wanted to go for the set!! ouch. Do we have a 1 on 1 jersey card here? Maybe! not more than 5 copies for sure!

again, this can be a typo and it's really 58 924? because 588 924 is one in every 2045 cases! lol

Only Marcus Johansson made the cut this year out of my 3 guys. No Tom Wilson or Dmitry Orlov, who hasn't had an Upper Deck card produced since August of 2012. Yay exclusives!!!

From a few Series I case breaks I saw, albeit a small sample size it looks like there were typically a couple exclusives x/100 per case. If they're seeded roughly the same in Series 2, then 250 cards * 100 copies / 2 per case = approx 25,000 cases... so I guess that'd put the Gilmour around HG territory with perhaps 12 copies? At least enough that hopefully a handful become available, but despite plain ol' jersey cards normally being bargain bin items, the UD set is pretty well-collected so I'm sure we'll see some bidding fireworks over the ones that do make it to the 'bay.

you are right maybe a dozen with the e-packs now. still this is the upper deck series jersey card with the smallest print run for sure!

I will be looking for the Fucale and McCarron HG and Exclusives, so if anyone pulls them, please let me know.

It is interesting for a habs fan to see these 2 plus Hudon in the same set.
they might be sleeper rookies for future years.
Cheap to buy now you never know...

Would be shocked if no acetate series 1 young guns. I don't think they were ever announced in previous years checklists, so I'm pretty certain this year is no different. just my two cents worth on it though.

They're probably only putting them in the ePacks.

With e-packs and physical distribution... does that mean the print run is abnormally huge for this year's stuff?

Also, does it minimize the odds of getting a YG exclusive/HG now as well?

Still confused about how the print run is affected by having both retail/hobby physical stuff and e-packs.

You know I was going to get a case at the presell and missed the cut off.
I then planned on buying a case at the expo to crack for fun. However with the whole ePack business, I have decided to hold off cracking any of this. I will put my money on another product instead. Maybe do a SPGU case or something like that as I am not 100% sold on the print runs and allocations and epack segmentation of the UDS1 and UDS2 product right now.

I will stay on the side lines and watch how this plays out. This should be interesting to watch and see how it all falls out.

Any dealers going to Hawaii for the UD conference? I am interested in hearing how they answer the questions regarding the digital execution.

What's a box of this gonna cost? $100+tax?

Might pass thanks to this new ePack business. If it's anything like UDS1, most of the Young Guns will cost a toonie 8 weeks after release.
