Know I´ve read about this for a couple of years ago, but can´t find anything now. However, as my Daniel Briere collection is growing, I became curious about how you other guys store your PC. The cards in a PC is more often than not a mix of thin 35pt cards and thicker cards with patches and so on. They don´t all fit in the regular binder. So, how are you storeing your PC? I´m especially interested in you guys with a player PC with over 200 cards or so, but any input will be nice.

Right now I have most of my cards in a binder, but as the collection grows, there will be cards that does not fit in a binder.

No joke, a shoebox under the bed. I've been thinking of getting a safety deposit box for the more valuable cards though.

i did away win binder and pages years ago

penny sleeve, top loader for inserts (or one touches for better cards) stored in a monster box

base all in monster boxes

I store my PC in two binders. I have magnet holders for the more expensive cards and for displaying. I also have a shoe box for graded and/or Slabbed cards. Pretty simple but it works!

All McLeods are in top loaders (excluding the Holy Grail of his GU cards, they are in magnetic one touches) and Avalanche collection is like 95% in binders.

I have a couple of monster boxes filled with pc cards in penny sleeves and toploaders. I keep my memorabilia cards in a separate section of the monster box. All of my 1/1s and high end cards are in one touches and one touch bags. I then have the oddball stuff in a monster box with the separators taken out.

Overall, I can house my player collection in 4 monster boxes.

3000 count boxes in various top loaders/one touches for my player PC's. While I don't get the satisfaction of looking through them easily like a binder - I've moved 4 times in 5 years, those 2 boxes are always taken in the car with me as opposed to being trusted to the movers.

My first big move was from Buffalo to CA and I had to do it on a budget, so I donated most of my base/other misc to a local shop to give away to kids. I kept my only PC at the time and a smaller box of inserts which have since gone on to COMC. So now I'm down to my 2 PC's and maybe a handful of sentimental cards like my Gretzky RC, my ROR Cup RC and a few other decent things.

Also most of my display room in my office is dedicated to my GI Joe collection because they display a lot better than cards do.

Habs base: binders
Habs inserts: shoebox type boxes (pennysleeves & toploaders)
Habs parallels: shoeboxes (small plastic cases for sets, PS and TL's for individual cards)
Habs game-used: shoeboxes (PS & TL or 1-touch magnetics)
Habs autos: metal "Cdn Tire" type tool box (PS & TL or 1-touch magnetics)
Habs stickers and oddball: shoebox (penny sleeves)
Habs sequentially numbered 24/xx: metal "Cdn Tire" type tool box (PS & TL or 1-touch magnetics)
Habs Cup cards and other higher end cards #'d 24/xx: displayed on shelves (1-touches and team bags)

And when I want to look at them I just go to my bucket below.

My base is in penny sleeves in a box, autos/GU are spread out in roughly half a dozen portable Sentry fireproof safes, and any oversized oddballs are in oversized toploaders, sometimes multiple items in one.

I used to do binders, but like yourself, storing thicker cards was a PITA.

I now have my collection in a 3000 count box with sleeves. The cards will two pieces (Dual shield with COA) are in a plastic slide box, but they are right next to the commons.

My sets are in binders, traders are in top loaders in a 1600 count box, favorite cards are in one touches..... and most of the cards are in totes until the basement is done.

Most of my cards are in the Canadian tire tool cases. I made a custom box out of an old Patron Tequila box for my Kopitar cards. I had a facsimile Kopitar autograph printed on a decal for the top of the case and added some dividers.

Custom is the way to go!

My Roy PC. Each card is put into a penny sleeve, then top loader. With the exception of some on magnetic cases.
All cards are in order from Early to Most recent. Then stores in those shoe box cardboard boxes and kept in my closet.

Sets, I try to put them in binders.

Other PC cards. Same as Roy, but not all are in top loaders.

I have been thinking about using those Canadian Tire / Walmart aluminum cases for my Roy PC. Anyone have an idea how many top loaders can fit in one of those cases?

VERY NOICE!!! :)

I use binders for base cards, and monster boxes for almost everything else. Penny sleeve and top loader for autos and jerseys, top loader for patches and more expensive cards.

I am also a fan of the Canadian Tire metal tool cases. If you have any slabbed cards, the metal tool cases work great. I print off wallpaper/backdrops of the player to put on the front of the case.

For top end cards you can keep the foam in the case for added protection.

Right now, I put everything in penny sleeves and top loaders. Cards under a certain price point are all in shoebox type boxes, more expensive stuff is in some locked boxes, and the biggest stuff is in a safe.

However, I have been thinking for a while of putting low-end stuff like base and whatnot into binders to free up some space in the shoeboxes for more middling stuff like inserts and parallels.

Also, those Canadian Tire tool cases are amazing looking. Next time up there, I may have to pick up a few. Can anyone chime in with about how much they are?
