What “Old School” Set Would You Like To See Made Again?

Pro Set, far and away. But I'd also love to get Topps Heritage back.
Topps Heritage was my favorite. But love the idea of OPC Heritage! That would be awesome if done right.

Be A Player Portraits - I like the idea of getting an auto'd 8x10.
Topps Pristine - I remember the "Pack within a Pack within a Pack" and getting slabbed "uncirculated" cards from this product. Also loved the vivid colors of this product.

I think the OPC "true-retro" ship has already sailed.
Upper Deck kind of flew under the radar in 08-09 with retro design. Topps didn't really go after UD until the 2009 OPC Baseball release, which had mockups of the 1971 Topps/OPC design and I think 1975 as inserts (memory is a little fuzzy). Upper deck had to reverse course and go with a generic black retro design.
None of the hockey retro designs have been exact Topps/OPC era replicas since that 08-09 release.
As far as old sets, I'm a big fan of 99-00 era Pacific sets. Inserts were always inventive. A Pro-Set type set would be awesome as well.

I wasn't aware of this. After seeing them do it in 08-09, I assumed the Retro card designs from then on were copies of older designs from way back in the day.

They have copied the 1930s designs, but none of the dual Topps/OPC designs.
The card fronts have been their own design.They really haven't made an effort on the card backs since that initial offering in 08-09. Just stats, no write ups or cartoon drawings like the old cards.

Pacific Complete, 600 card sets. All player cards, no all-stars, no team cards, no retired players, no referees. I own both of the 600 card sets which were available in 100 card segments in 6 different Pacific releases.
Those were a chore to build and find the singles I needed.

If I remember correctly the set was broken down in 100 card mini sets across many products with the last 100 being in pacific Calder. The red parallels were cool and /99. I opened cases upon cases when one of my distributors bought out all the inventory when they closed up shop.

The formula for Topps Heritage works. UD wouldn't be doing anyone a disservice by copying it.
If UD printed O-Pee-Chee on old school OPC stock, that would be DOPE. SSP the key cards and add autographs at 1-2 a case and make those autos ones that count. Create something like Topps' Red parallels and you have an instant winner that you can double print.

Some of my faves are 92-93 Topps gold parallels (1 per pack), and anything like the 98-2001Topps Gold Label. Loved the red, and black parallels, and classes 1/2/3. Cards were full bleed, and beautiful. Really loved all the Epic Signatures sets, with all the HOF'ers in it. These guys are not gonna be with us forever, so I'd love to see more old guys auto'd sets. 06-07 Parkhurst is also a huge favorite of mine.

Foundations. All of the memorabilia (2 per box) and autos were of the leagues better players and of retired better players. Rookies were out of 1,250. Their were some parallels but I can’t remember the numbering. 18 packs per box.
Just try to update it for now. Three memorabilia (try for two jersey cards and one patch or other memorabilia) per box. One auto. Number the rookies to 999 with some 1/1 parallel. Have a deep rookie checklist. Have a couple insert sets. 18 packs per box. Run a parallel or two on all base cards. Just focus on the better players of today and the past. This is not a rookie driven product.
