Same here. I didn't think much of it when it first dropped, but it has aged well. It also seems to have a very strong set of collectors making commanding some good value on cards, which is refreshing.

Interesting design for the base having the left side acetate come so far in, curious to see how they look once released. I agree with the others that Synergy has definitely improved over the years and I am excited to see the next edition!

Those look absolutely sweet. Would be one of the best auto sets of the decade if they were hard signed.

I loved synergy the first 2 years but the sticker autos on the true base kill it for me.

I maintain that you can't simply declare a numbered variety 'the base set', when the parallels outpopulate it. The reds are the base set.

Those Lafreniere autos are going to do sooooo well. Beautiful cards.

However,

A lot of collectors think they would do better without the auto. I would agree. Those cards should be able to stand proudly on there own.

I love Synergy too but those autos take me out of it this year; sticker or on-card, I don't like how either look on these cards. However, I will keep my eyes peeled for the easter egg (if non-auto'd lol).

... and last year they flipped it, with the Red Bounty being the easiest to pull. I think the regular reds were harder than the blues.

Overall, the set must have been a huge pandemic timeframe e-pack success. LOTS of singles available.

Somebody on Facebook noted that the player on that card is Adam Fox, not Lafreniere. He kinda looks like Fox and also on right arm you can see a piece of number patch, that were not on jerseys that were used on Lafreniere's photo shoot.

Uh-oh.

Then why is said player holding a Lafreniere stick? It’s pretty simple, they used jerseys without numbers for the video shoot and then did some with “normal” photo shoot jerseys for the patch pieces to be used in cards. Pretty sure that’s what happened here. There is no way UD would mix up Lafreniere and Fox. Different years and different contexts for the photos.
