Fall Toronto Expo - Does It Happen?

I was looking at the tickets, and did anyone else notice the interesting line within the packages that states: "guaranteed 3 days Expo admission"? It doesn't say any of the same terminology for single days sales (albeit it actually says nothing, lol).

I couldn't remember to Expo's prior if this terminology was similar or not. Do you think because of A) a smaller hall for this show and/or B) possible Covid restrictions at the time, that there could be limited access, and daily ticket purchases MAY not be honored potentially?!?!

Dude, they've been exposed to my shirts for YEARS. They'll be fine.
I still feel like one of these days we need to cut up one of your legendary shirts, put it into cards and get them hard signed.

I would think this is EXACATLY what that means.

Assuming it happens, there is going to be limited capacity. If they're allowed to have 1,000 people inside (I'm just making up a number) and you get there at 11am, and there's already 1,000 people inside - then you're going to be waiting until someone leaves before you can enter.

Premium passes are going to be given premium access. It's also likely they won't go to 100% of their capacity - so that premium ticket holders will always be able to walk right in.

Just posted by the Expo to Facebook. It’s on baby!

GREAT NEWS! Capacity limits at indoor settings – like event spaces, banquet balls, convention centres, sporting events, concerts, theatres, cinemas, racing venues, and commercial and film television productions with studio audiences – will be increased to 50 per cent or 10,000 people, whichever is less.

Fantastic!

the mayor of canada will be......... dont know the booth number but he will greet you with a friendly new york style hello

Supposedly the booths are sold out but I can't find a list of the dealers attending on the site. Did you? I already went through disappointment with the Edmonton Summit that I had planned on attending. There was also a lack of details such as this in the month leading up to it and it got cancelled at only one week out.

Which hall will this Expo take place since they no longer have a lease for their original show site?
How does it, will affect capacity?

We are in the smaller hall. Same hall in 2017 I believe. Capacity is restricted as per the new normal but its hard to gauge as the metrics seem to change weekly.

IIRC, I think it was Hall 1. That was the show I spent doubled over in the parking lot puking and sleeping in the van from some unknown ailment. Ah, good times.

That hall is 6900 capacity, but I don't know how staff, vendors and the layout of the show affects that.

Some great new details posted in the "Dealer" tab on the Expo website:

https://sportcardexpo.com/dealers/

The show is in fact moving over to Hall 1, with a max capacity of 3500 (based on current government restrictions), but ultimately could hold more if restrictions ease at all.

No breakdown of dealers just yet, but hopefully soon.

Double vax pass check in effect. That’ll kick the crap out of a significant portion of the dealers and attendee demographics, but the hobby is hot, and Covid Cash is still flowing, so it should be OK.
