BAP, ITG and Leaf ITG Ultimate

This may be a long read please bare with me. You all know I enjoy and buy a lot of BAP Ultimate, ITG Ultimate and getting into Leaf Ultimate and something came to mind yesterday it was should I start collect these three brands basically everything my budget will allow meaning all players, all game used, all autographs and all base?? I search for these cards everyday and pick them up when I can and what I don't have.

Another thing came to my mind was do I love/like these products to collect the lesser known players and common ones as well, it would not break the bank as most will and those can be more easier found then most players and game used/autos in some of the sets.

Closing do I love/like these 3 to collect everything my budget will allow??

Personnally, I'm more and more picky about what I add to my collection. At some point, I have too much stuff, and it's a lot of work and costs to move what I don't enjoy anymore.

Agreed. While it may seem exciting at first, adding everything will become tedious at some point. I can't imagine you'll be super excited to add a bunch of Zach Boychuk cards to your PC

I used to be a "buy everything" collector until I saw the value in buying one nice thing instead of 20 moderately nice things. It saved me space and it allowed me to pick up pieces that were nicer and more meaningful to me.

I'm speaking solely for me, though. In the end, I'll say to you that you should do what YOU like and not what anyone else recommends. You find your enjoyment and if that means adding everything you can to your PC, then go for it.

You seem to be seeking a challenge. Well, if you do something like you are thinking, that will definitely be a challenge. One of the more challenging things will be finding the lesser known players. The better knowns are easier to move and will therefore be easier to find leaving the “the ones who didn’t make it” sitting in common bins or deep in someone’s forgotten dark corner.

The best person to ask in Brownbullhead. His Parkhurst collection is amazing and he can best describe the specified collecting journey he has gone through.

Me? Not even close. I have been working on the same two sets for 15 years. 1 card from completing one set and 18 from the other. They have been stagnant for 9 years, but not pushing for completion either. Have done plenty of collecting since then.

Good luck, and definitely would like to see the fruits of your labor in the near future.

Yes I have seen his Parkhurst Retro set is fantastic and yes I will have to ask him how he does it and stays interested and focused

I would say to choose a set that really encompasses everything you enjoy about those Brands you listed and try for a Master set from your absolute favourite product?

I think that will allow you to enjoy the set for various reason you listed, but also allow you to have a focus that, if large enough, can last many years and provide a lot of fun along the way.

Collecting everything/everyone from those list of multiple products you mentioned, while awesomely ambitious, could perhaps lead you to bite off more than you can chew if you're looking for a finite project to set your sights on.

At the end of the day, it's up to you to decide on what you want to collect, but I think a Master set can leave you with a lot of amazing cards to chase and leave you something to be proud of as you take-on a epic collecting challenge.
