I always look forward to the Top 10 threads every year. :beer:
There was a shift in how I acquired my hockey cards in 2022. As far back as I can remember eBay has been my main source for new cards. This year it was replaced by Instagram, as 5 of the 10 cards came from my activity and connections over there. What a treat it is to have friends sending me messages when they see rare Iginla cards making an appearance, and there is a fair bit of selling happening on Istagram. The vouch system works great on those rare occasions when it is needed, but so far connections that I've made have provided several great buying opportunities. I have publicly thanked the sellers and those who have contacted me about cards for sale on other platforms, so I won't do it for all of the cards again here.
I've used Book Creator to make these pages. The viking image on the pages comes from a print that I commissioned from Jayden, my good friend and a fellow Iginla collector. I'll start at #10 and work my way back to #1. There are 2 pages at the end to show all of the cards together and provide a quick description for each card. I'll be putting up a post & a reel to show these on Instagram tomorrow.

One of my pickups from the local show in October, I've been looking for one of these forever. Thanks to Darren (Maple Leaf Sports) for providing us with a quality local show. It continues to grow and get bigger each time. Shoutout to Jayden for providing the contact information to me for the seller.

Thrilled to add this patch to the pc. I had a couple with part of the bear, but this one is spectacular. It came all the way from Sweden, and was recently featured in a CnC post on Instagram celebrating some of their best pulls from their breaks. I also discovered that the Boston Bruins have 2 versions of this patch, a home & away version. The away jersey patch has the word BOSTON at the top, as seen on this patch. The home jersey patch has the word BRUINS at the top.

The first time I saw one of these up for auction I didn't know what to think. How could a card without memorabilia or a serial number be selling for hundreds of dollars? It has grown on me, and has a neat 3D feel to it.
