those are nice!! I love the dual with gretz and "derby", too bad it is his nickname not his full one. :|
 
I LOVE the idea of the Trophy cuts....love it, love it, love it.

The Modern Cuts? Notsomuch. If it's not affilated with hockey, I don't wanna see it in a hockey set. End of discussion.
 
when i first opened the thread, i saw charles schultz, i said cool! i love the peanuts!
then i saw steve mcqueen, the original bad a$$. i said right on!

then i scrolled down and saw the rest and i damn nearly shat myself.

must save up more. thanks for the sneak peek!
 
I wonder how the decide who to include for cut autos in a pure hockey set? With some of those names that have no relation to hockey that I know of, why not just have a cut auto of my Mom in there while you at it? :)

Rob said pretty much exactly what I was thinking, so I'm just going to quote him.
 
There's something about those dual cuts I don't like. No photographs? Or is there something about a modern player who is easily accessible for autographs tainting a cut auto of a deceased person? Sort of like having a player autograph their rookie card.
 
Those trophy cuts are pretty sweet, love that idea! Not a fan of the the non hockey autos though.
 
Cut autos of current players? Check.

Non-hockey-related junk in a hockey set? Check.

Faulty QC department that misspells the names of famous people? Check.

I actually liked the other previews for Black, but these are uglier than Superlative -- especially with the above factored in.
 
Yummy! That is how much I like the idea of the dual cut's. I know, yummy is a pretty bold thing for a dude to say, but sometimes you just gota speak from the heart! The duals a great looking set. Richard/Nash, Gretz/Stanley! Awesome.
 
Kind of surprised that non-hockey autos would be included in there, but great trophy cuts cards and I really like the design of the other Black cards. Can't wait til they're out.
