As a collector of Habs' base and parallel cards, this auction caught my attention. From experience I know that Linden cards normally end up selling for significantly more money than his former Habs' teammates. But I was not expecting this ending price! There must be some serious Linden collectors out there! Does anybody know who ended up with this card?

Ahhh yes the Titanium Blue..... I sure wish the Leetch or Messier would pop up one day. I would make an eBay seller very happy as well....

Someone that wasn't Victor or Kevin. Brett, was it you? If not Brett, it could only have been a set collector.

So once again, I have to say...the Linden guys are either the most dedicated...or the craziest bunch of collecting mofos in the world. Kevin and I had a very brief talk about the Lindenites the other day, and they continue to get my utmost respect. They are honestly on the same level to me as the Gaborik mafia in terms of player collector dedication. The same money could be put to more traditional high end collectibles, but instead, they're out there fighting tooth and nail for a collection of a player remembered for things other than scoring 100 points a season or leading a team to multiple Stanley Cups.

It's not surprising -- Linden's our Wendel Clark / Doug Gilmour-esque hobby love figurehead in Vancouver.

and i thought my $160 snipe was going overboard... maybe i should have listened to Kevin and bid more

there are 13 other copies out there but i'm pretty sure the next will go for even more :|

Victor

Given all the money I saved you two weeks ago, you think you would be willing to go big.... :P

I'm also suprised as I don't know the winning bidder - not sure if it's a Linden collector or a Habs collector.

Kevin

I thought it would go higher. Victor - should have maxed higher.

Lesse. My Linden 05/06 UD Masterpiece plate ran me 262.50 US delivered.

For a quality Linden piece, 150 is nothing.

Nope, wasn't me. :(

I didn't think the card would break the $150 mark. :|

I agree with Victor, I think the next time we see it - it'll go for even higher (whenever the next one does surface).

Wow!

Brett

Those blues DON'T show up. It's irksome as hell to player collectors. Given the competition for Linden stuff, I'm unsurprised.

I have made a small fortune picking some of the Titanium Blues up in $1 bins and letting them auction out. They were so hard to pull in the first place (jersey numbered) even players like Bourque (#/77) I sold for over $30. Add in some of the ones numbered to the teens and it was a Bonanza!! I still have never seen a few them even offered up.

I still have the Shanahan - hmmmmmm???
