If you're in the neighbourhood, stop in and take part in Panini's Play of the Day Promotion. Pull the player of the day and win a daily prize. All daily prize winners will be entered into the weekly prize. All 4 weekly winners will then be entered into the store grand prize....

This runs for 4 weeks. Hope to see as many of you as possible as the store grand prize is pretty cool!

Here's what the Panini Player of the Day top prize for our store is..... "Hard Signed"

And then you are entered into the promtoion grand prize of a $250 shopping spree, an auto session atthe winning card shop and a party at your home...!!!

I don't think this is restricted to just Canadian card shops.

I know we are the only shop in these parts participating but I did not read anywhere it was Canada only. We were contacted many months ago about the promotion by one of our distributors.

I checked the Panini America site and did a search on player of the day but nothing came up so maybe it is Canada Only - not sure. If I hear more, I will let you know.

In the mean time - Ontario is not that far away....

The Card Rack hobby shop in Fredericton, N.B., also has this promotion, although the Panini Player of the Day top prize for Steve's store is a Mike Cammalleri autographed card.
Thanks,
Bruce

Thanks for the info Bruce - we were wondering if all the top prize cards were the same.

Weekly prizes consist of puzzles, RC sets plus some Wincraft items.

hmmm... the 401 games site says theirs starts in march...

How it Works:
Step 1: Each day we will place a sticker next to a player on the Panini NHLPOD poster to mark them as the "Player of the Day." In addition, rookies Taylor Hall and Taylor Seguin are marked as Wild Cards for the entire of the promotion.

Step 2: You can enter by purchasing a pack of 2010-11 Panini NHL Cards including such popular brands as; Prestige, Donruss, Elite, Classic, Score, Certified, Absolute and many others.

Step 3: To win, you must open the pack in front of a store employee. If you "pull" the highlighted Panini NHL Player of the Day or the Wild Card you win a prize. We will award you a prize and enter your name on the winners list.

Step 3: Four times during the promotion one randomly chosen daily winner will receive an additional prize as a weekly prize winner.

Step 4: At the conclusion of the 30-day promotion, one of the four weekly winners is randomly selected as the grand prize winner and receives the autographed card.

Step 5: Each hobby shop grand prize winner is entered into the national sweepstakes for their chance to meet an NHL player and the local hobby shop gets to host a free autograph session with that player.

Is your eberle a step 3 prize or step 4?

The Eberle is step 4.

The promotion is to run anytime between January and the end of March. We are starting our's now as it falls right after the UD promotion (Hockey Day in Canada) and will end the week before our ITG Promotion - ITG Cross Canada Redemption Tour.

What card did 401 get?

Holy crap...that's a fantastic promotion! Imagine that...

ITG has the Cross Canada and US promotion, Panini has this one...Upper Deck, you're up to bat, kids...

We got our materials for this on Friday, some nice prizes for the daily winners as well. We will be starting this on March 1st and run it until the end of the month. Should be fun! We also got the Eberle as our top prize.

I saw the Cammy auto at the card rack and it is a beauty. I got a prize of the day buy pulling a base Kane and got a special Hall card and a free pack of score.

The IceBox will be starting our promotion in a week or so. Our top prize is a nice Phil Kessel hard-signed auto.

One of the things that really impresses me about this is they are even offer to fire you back a cheque for $100 as a co-op advertising fund, something I have been pushing another card manufacturer which has a license to do for some time. Panini, I didn't even have to ask.

To be fair, UD does have National Hockey Card Day... not as exciting, but still something. Would be nice to see them get more creative like ITG has for sometime and Panini is doing now.

Week 1 winner was drawn Saturday afternoon at 4:30 pm by BigGuyMikey and witnessed by 3 other customers.... Of the 19 daily winners, the weekly winner was our very own Kaitlyn.... LOL.

Kaitlyn's name goes into the hat for the store prize (Eberle Hard Signed auto card).

Anyway, Week 1 prize was the Crosby Golden Goal Puzzle, MAF Wincraft Sticker, OV Pennant and a RC Set...

Week 2 started Sunday and we have had only 3 daily winners so far. Come on i and try your luck.

Trade night will have some daily winners - make sure you're one of them MICK!!!!

and yes - we all knew who would win.... Drury and Kings.... and Conroy - they win everything it seems.
