Wow......post #1000! And it corresponds with quite possibly the most Ultimate Linden show & tell I have ever done. :beer: Nice!
It was my first trip out to T.O. for the Expo and my high expectations were met and exceeded. I really enjoyed meeting a number of HI members (and I apologize, but....as I called it.... I have managed to forget some of the faces/names I came across). I appreciate the people who have a passion for the hobby and there's no question that I met a number of them over the past few days.
It was a great weekend for the Linden PC as well. A number of additions (mostly due to the release of the monstrous ITG Ultimate Memorabilia 11), so let the show begin.
10/11 Zenith Red Hot
For real. It's on the wantlist.....it's a Linden........and I picked it up at the show. It's gets a spot in the post.
Plus, it's a good place for me to put the shout out for the Blue (White Hot) version /25. Where are you?
10/11 Dominion Private Signings Auto Montreal
Another Linden in a Habs uniform. I hear this auto is the tougher of the two Lindens out there, but I feel like I've seen a few of these creeping around.
Still, really happy to land this one.
11/12 Canada vs. The World auto
Picked this one up along with the Private Signings as well as the next card. I really appreciated the guys from Collecto-Sports in Drummondville for the heads up on these three. I was just walking past their table late in day one and one of the guys (who I talked with earlier) simply pointed out that he had seen a Linden auto I might need. The next day, I made my way to the table, found the card (along with two more), made the deal and went over to shake the guy's hand at the Collecto-Sports booth.
I apologize, but I can't remember his name, but it was just a simple act of courtesy and it was very much appreciated.
10/11 Dominion Pen Pals Triple Auto /25
This was the third card, and one that I have waited a while to get. I've passed on a number of them on ebay just because the price is holding on them. Love the fact I was able to package this one up in a triple Linden deal. That gets a :goal:
10/11 Decades Rookie Game Used Jersey & Auto Silver
Wow! Didn't think I'd find this one. Picked it up from (argh....again, the name escapes me) the guy I shared a cab with going to the show in the mornings. How's that for luck (and how's that for my complete inept name recalling).
Now I just need the Black version. Who'd have thunk it!
Alright.....on to the Ultimate Memorabilia goodies. This is what really made the weekend for me.
11/12 UM11 Past, Present, Future Silver /24
A nice trio of guys on the card. Came from one of the table I stopped at about 40 times a day.......always asking "did you open any more stuff?". They saw me coming a mile away (I appreciated that). But they kept the price more than fair (and I appreciated that even more).
11/12 UM11 Idols Silver /24
Simple and effective. I love that ITG put the two of these guys on the same card. Linden always wanted to wear #9 in honor of Lanny.
11/12 UM11 Ultimate Automates Silver /9
This was one of two cards I saw pulled at In The Game Land (where I hung out a lot.....again hovering for Linden cards). The guy next to me pulled this beauty while I was opening my box of UM11 (watch for those scans soon). After a bit of negotiating, we made the trade and I am thrilled. What a duo.

This card is.......yes........Completely Awesome! A super easy transaction with Geoff (geplimestone) for this card. The number and emblem on this are fantastic. Thanks again.

Excuse me? This is the FREE card I get for opening a pack of UM11? OK!
Yeah, these are nice. Sadly, I didn't 'pull' one of these myself. But made an easy deal with the guys from Kard Sharks for it (and the next one too). Thanks.
11/12 UM11 Fall Expo Redemption Canucks Quad Gold /5
Silver & Gold.....isn't that what Burl Ives always said (wow.....I really can't believe I just used that one). This redemption was one I knew I had to have. Those redemption cards /5 can be elusive mere moments after a show.
Now on to the two big boys of the post.
Again, my constant hovering at ITG paid off when a couple of guys just busting a few boxes told me that they pulled this one. Again, a must have.

For sale? Yup? OK.....I guess I'll buy it. It was just that easy. It made me want to just pull up a chair with a big sign saying "You got Linden's?". Hmmmmmmm.......now there's an idea for next time.
Alright, last card. And I said earlier that Steve (quincy) was responsible for it getting into my hands.
