05-06 SPGU Auto Draft Set

I remember when I started coming to forums in general, there were a bunch of people trying to build the Auto Draft set. This is probably my favorite modern auto set of all time.

There were some pretty crazy cards in the set as I recall (like that Gaborik /3) and I'd wager nobody actually finished the set since there were a bunch of 1/1, 2s and 3s, but does anybody know of anybody that got really close? I'd like to see their progress. There were 100? cards in the set as I recall.

I'll agree with both, great set & cool to see some of the guys in their draft sweaters - Iggy/Dallas for example. I only have one card from the set and it isn't even a guy I actively collect but I kept it because it's a beauty

Yes, I believe Lee was the longtime owner of that card.

Me personally, while I loved the set, I wasn't willing to spend the money for a lot of the lower print card. I decided to chase my player instead.

So I apologize to you that were putting the set together and had difficulty obtaining Mike Cammalleri Auto Draft cards because some guy kept outbudding you. I was PCing him at the time and started hoarding those, and the SPGU SIGnificance autos from that year. :crazy:

I'll have to check my stash, but I think I have somewhere between 7-10 of the 49 out there, including the jsy #

I loved this set too and had quite a few of them before I gave up and started selling them off. The only one I have left is the Alex Steen. Would have been really cool to have the funds to chase them all.

That was mine. Sold it to raise funds for current p.c.'s. Originally acquired the Nash from a member from here.
