07-08 Between The Pipes for $29.95

Hi everyone,
I checked out the card selection at Wal-Mart today and saw three hobby boxes of 2007-08 Between The Pipes for $29.95 per box plus tax.
I know that was an 'off' year for BTP, but do you think that's still a good price for 24 packs per box?
In other words, 72 hobby packs for $100 taxes in for all three boxes.

Picked one up in Regina last night and got a nice big P.Kane swatch out of it. Box says the 'Arena Version' if that makes any difference guys.

There ya go. Arena Versions are basically akin to Hobby/Retail: the same hits are there but the odds go up dramatically from hobby to retail/arena.

Yes, I spoke too soon. These are the Arena version boxes but have a misleading sticker on them: Hobby Box, to be sold as box and not as individual packs or something to that effect.
When something looks too good to be true...

That's too bad but yeah the arena version is ok if you aren't looking for the bigger hits but not a great price at $30.

Also found 07/08 BTP for $25 at Walmart too. Didn't open any, but once again, it is the arena version.

in St.John's there was a couple of boxes of hero and prospects from the same year and same deal with the "hobby" sticker... never got any but a decent deal none the less

I've opened about a dozen of those Arena Boxes... I did fairly well hitting 8 autographs including a Roy and Esposito... I also hit nearly a mask per box. But with that being said, I paid less then $25 per box so it was worth the risk

Be carefull... if it is Arena... then it is all base. If it is hobby, then rock on. Usually there is something #/25 or less in each box!

Yeah, Arena boxes, you can get them for about half that on ebay (not including shipping).
