08-09 OPC metal x , retro rainbows

Where do they come from hobby, retail, hangar, kmart , etc? How come they are so hard to find. They cannot be so limited like 20 so where are those cards hidden? OPC is not high end product but in other high end products I keep seeing them too much but not metal-X and retro rainbows. How come?

Metal X was the refractor version of the Metal cars inserted in the update stuff. The Retro Rainbows are /100.

I did all of these sets when the 08-09 was released.And in my very humble opinion the update gold was the most difficult set I have every tried to complete, When I got down to my last 3 cards.A friend who was also working on the set had the three cards that I needed and I had 8-9 that he needed.So we traded.He just felt to was better to have one complete set.Rater then two set incomplete.But that still took me 5 years plus to get it done.For anyone that opened any amount of this stuff.Probably remembers that when the update was released the gold versions were less plentiful than the rainbows that were #xxx/100. I believe that the update golds are only about 20 or less copies of each card.If you are looking for singles of a certain player,you should have no trouble finding who you need in all the different sets.But if that player is in the update set than you may be looking for a while if you want that player in the gold version.Good luck with your search.

They aren't easy to find because many of them were snatched up the collectors who used to do master OPC collections. I don't have any Metal X traders left but I still have these available:

Just ask Luongo Collector how hard these are to find.He has been working on these sets for years.I helped him some but could not finish his needs.I still have a few of the update golds.About 130 extras.But most people do not understand how difficult they are to find.I believe they are as tough as the blank backs.But only in the update set.Series one golds are not very difficult at all. I got all mine from hobby boxes,So I cannot comment on whether or not if they were available in retail. Good luck in your search.
