08 rookie questions, rookie advice

Hey, i would like to know what rookie cards in football are the best ones.

Exquisite is out of the question, after that ?

Ultimate
Contenders
Sp Authentic

Any other ones i should look for ?

Any particular ones to avoid ? A la SPGU , Artifact or Trilogy in hockey

Avoid the rookie parallels or not ?

I like auto rookies, dosent need to be patchy.

I like chromies , what is the difference between these 2 ?

Is the green the regular rookie ?

What are the different levels of Chrome ?

To me the best bet for Rc's that will hold their value in football are the Sp Authentic and Playoff Contenders. If you don't care for jersey or patches then I would go with the Playoff Contenders. Another would be Upper Deck Premier(football version of OPC Premier in hockey). Rc's are jersey auto but the aren't overly expensive but still higher end.

As for the question on the Chrome there are 3 different parallels. They are blue, orange and gold.

As for the RC parallels it is each individual that decides that. I see alot of Ebay adds depicting parallels as RC's which disapoints me but some simple reading on the card websites usually tell you what the print run was for every RC.

So the Green /150 is the regular rookie ?

No its an insert set as well. Last year Bowman didnt put any Auto RC's in the base set like they had in years past. This card books for 60-120 in the Beckett guide. His base RC is black bordered I believe and isn't numbered as well. If it was his base RC from Bowman it would book for between 3-8 in Beckett.
