I didn't see this discussed.. may have missed it. But I was analyzing the checklists, and noted that these players have 2 different rookie cards in the same product:

2009 161 Lars Eller Blues Future Watch 999
2009 185 Peter Regin Senators Future Watch 999
2009 173 Ryan O'Marra Oilers Future Watch 999

2009 219 Lars Eller Blues Autographed Future Watch 999
2009 246 Peter Regin Senators Autographed Future Watch 999
2009 247 Ryan O'Marra Oilers Autographed Future Watch 999

Each card has a different player picture...

Has this happened before in other sets?

In addition, 05-06 Artifacts had 2 Rob McVicar cards (one in reg set, and one in update), Kovy had a in both UD releases (Series 1 and Series 2) in his rookie year.

The Kovalchuk situation was different I think, he was given a "Young Gun" card in series 1 (With the identifying foil wording) and his series 2 was just part of the base set, but still considered a Rc, or something like that.

If I remember correctly, Patrick Eaves had both a RC and a Base in the same set, 05-06 Parkhurst.

many times. Last year it was Ryan Jones.

Yep, and in 2006-07, we saw it happen twice (sort of) to Benoit Pouliot. He's featured with an auto and non auto rookie in SP Authentic, and was featured with an auto-patch and a base rookie in Hot Prospects, only the former was a redemption that was not fulfilled.

Topps does this with Bowman Baseball and it annoys the hell out of me. I usually find it out on accident but still...
