You can try the redemption number on the Panini website. Some people got success with expired Panini redemptions.

I hadn't tried punching it in because I was having trouble accessing my account until today, got in and tried it though and it looks like it accepted the code. I know the card is live (Dave Semenko Tough Times auto) so if Panini does honor it the wait shouldn't be very long. *knocks on wood*

Great fun busting the Donruss and you can pull some nice pieces from it, too! As long as Panini keeps honoring the redemptions, it's a good deal at $24-$27/box.
