1 tin of Sweet Shot... or should I say Sweet Spot?

Decided to try 1 tin first... stuck to it last year and only did the 1 tin, but you never know. I should stop at one while I'm ahead, after this tin. Clear wrapper inside the tin again... so right away I saw there was a thicky.

The Gretzky base greeted me when I lifted the lid, so it was a good start...

then the one sub-set I wasn't sold on... bringing baseball into the hockey world... and I get one. It's nice, but still seems strange to me. A friend already has dibs on it if I do part with it...

Nice Lundy! I still don't like the baseball theme in hockey although alot of members do so far. I couldn't see baseball players signing a puck.

Nice pull on the Lundy Auto, But....
I think the cards are awfull Personally. Last Time I checked they used Pucks and not baseballs in Hockey...

Just wondering out loud here... how upset do you think Baseball fans would be if they had "puck autos" in a baseball product? I think most of them wouldn't be too pleased.

They'd probably raise an eyebrow, but sign anyway. I was trying to think of ways to get a puck on a card. You can take ultra thin sections of rock, wouldn't be hard to slice a puck into a thin enough section.... then you'd have to slice it in a half-moon shape (whole puck won't fit on standard card). Then even make it game used... each half signed by a player... 1/2 and 2/2. Then... there is the logistics of sticking rubber to a card... not sure what adhesive would do that. Ack, I'm sure it's been thought through already... nice card, just can't get by it being a baseball.

You have a point Chris, forgot about that... auto baseballs (the whole ball) from any celebrity - sport or non-sport - is a big thing. It is different and don't want to 'dis UD for trying different, but all collector's have different tastes. Some narrow, some broad.

Try and sell it however you want, but I'm not sold on the baseball thing either.

Seems rather misplaced more than anything.
