Hey. I post mostly in the hockey section, but I'm trying to help out my brother who wants to start collecting football cards. He is looking to buy a box with the budget of about $100 to maybe $200 tops. Any ideas would be great, as I can't advise him much on this since I am a hockey guy. Doesn't UD produce a football product called Encore? How is that stuff?

You can also PM me if you like, but posting your comments in here is fine.

Thanks,
cburt :)

Hey,
I have 2008 leaf limited hobby boxes for sale. 97 dlvd/box to canada. But, I also can give you info you need. Encore hasn't been made since 2000.

Now, 2008 boxes are doing pretty well, with a strong rookie class. Leaf limited gives you 4 hits in 16 packs, with at least one, usually two autographed.

For a little more you can get some contenders or sp authentic, which have the highest selling rookies. But, they also are hit or miss, depending on which rookie you get.

Hi. Thanks for the info. I'll let my brother know and see what he thinks. I think he is more or less looking for ideas, so thanks for the help. He might be more interested in the Contenders or SPA.
Thanks. :)

Some of the main rookies are Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, Matt Forte, Steve Slaton, Jonathan Stewart, Eddie Royal, Darren McFadden, Felix Jones and Chris Johnson are the biggies this year.
