Heya, went a little crazy on 13-14 Showcase today. Very fun break, lots of big hits! Here are my top 12 faves ...

At #12 -7 ... lots of great patches of great rookies!



No complaints about the swatches UD has used this year. Not many 1 colour at all (in my breaks, anyways).

At #6, Jambalaya goodness ....



The next 5 I struggle in which order to place them, but here goes ...

At #5 ... Fleer Ultra Red Medallion Nathan MacKinnon #77/99



These cards are gorgeous in person but the foil does not scan well at all.

At #4, Hot Prospects Auto Patch Tomas Hertl #/175



At #3, Metal Universe PMG Green Sean Monahan #1/10



The cards are gorgeous in person, and TOUGH to pull

At #2, Skybox Premium Sparkling Diamond Tomas Hertl #1/5



UNREAL card, must be seen in person to really appreciate how amazing they are

At #1, Hot Prospects Auto Patch #/175 Sean Monahan



Check out that patch. It's not for sale, but even if it was I'm sure most would suspect it's fake! Right from the centre of the shoulder Alberta patch. Amazing rookie card.

Wow. That Monahan patch is absolutely gorgeous.

There's something about the Tom Wilson one that catches my eye, too.

Nice hit on the Hertl/5 and the Monahan/10.
 
Great stuff Ferris... congrats on landing that Monahan! Great stuff... love that Hot Prospect RPA's are back!

I don't suspect it's fake....just not from a game-used jersey. A Photo-shoot, or event worn jersey.....and probably a replica jersey at that....not a Game-issue even.

Beauty card indeed though! :beer:

Agreed Curt. It says on the back of the card that it is from a rookie photo shoot. But it is a true rookie card and the swatch, regardless of where it's from, affects the desirability.

No, it really doesn't. I'm sitting here drooling over this card. Such an Amazing pull! Wish it could've gone to someone that didn't collect Monahan, so I could make a move on it! ;)

The card will be at the big show in Calgary in May, come by and pay a visit. :)

Bring your traders and some $$ ... you never know ..... :beer:

I'll be there no doubt. May I ask what you'd be looking for on it? I'd like to prepare my traders/wallet :P
