Hit your local card shop as the distributors are blowing out 13/14 Ultimate Collection!!!

we received notice Friday night so we (and your LCS) we be taking preorders Saturday for Monday orders.

please stop involving all LCS in your messages. Just mentioned that you have it on sale...Everytime I go to my local shops, the prices are the same. I bet if I go this week for Ultimate Collection, it will be 110 taxes in. and when I mention that Stadium Sports has a deal, he is not happy. Maybe you have a better distributor...

I don't see a problem with him letting people know what is out there. We should be thankful that we have hobby shops on this board that are willing to let customers "see behind the curtain".

I wish all LCS were as forthcoming with information as the shops we have on here.

That's your LCS' problem. If the distributors are liquidating product, maybe your LCS should buy more, put it on sale and offset what he has in stock at original release pricing. He may not maximize his profits but at least he'll get rid of his stock. There are a total of TWO distributors in Canada. If your LCS can't figure that out, he should think of doing something else

I totally agree that we want heads-up on good pricing and Stadium Sports always been very nice to us doing that. I was just saying do not involve all LCS in that message because it's not true. they do not have a deal or the same deal at all. so it's false affirmation. I would call the good pricing on my shop only and not call the deal on others. My local shop is getting pretty mad everytime I see these message and ask for the deal! and he replies well, maybe I should by from Stadium directly for reselling. :)

well. We have the same local shop Frank. I don't think he will keep the prices high to make more profit. he is a really good guy!
As for how much he buys, I have no clue.

If I call today and asked for a box of Ultimate at 80 taxes in...I can just see his face telling me are you kidding :)
 
maybe your lcs has the same deal but doesnt reduce his price to his clients, why would a distributor only offer his deal to stadium, im sure theyre not his bigger client. like others said maybe your lcs should look to change distributors

he is a really fair and honest guy so I just didn't want to think of this :)

Well that bites! I guess he knows he his the only shop around.
problem is when we buy online, the ''deal'' is gone because of the shipping fees.

He may not have heard of the new pricing yet. He likely only has a few packs on the shelves anyway. Once he re-orders, he will have the same price. I'll speak with him today
 
Not sure what you're talking about but I just called him and he said he has none on the shelf at the moment but if he orders it in, he can do $80 tax in. So the OP was CORRECT in posting this

And just to clarify, he stated NO ONE has been in or has called asking for a price on Ultimate Collection so throwing the LCS under the bus here was unwarranted

When I mentioned it to my LCS on Saturday, I was offered the discounted price on reorders and he's got the only store in town.
 
I'd like to point out that if your local store is in Ontario and charges 13% tax, it is making a whopping $11 (not including shipping cost) on a box.

Please do not complain when no one else in their right mind opens up a card shop.
