finally.... I spent 15 years saying the leafs should have hired this guy.....he was one of the best coaches in the league at the time.... I am very happy he has finally gotten another chance!!

the real big news is the complete clean out w/ the firing of the gm and coach a whole new feeling here in the city......i say it and have always said it GO SABRES

Well, he won't have to do much to have his team match the number of non-shootout wins they have in the first 20 games.

Seriously though, I really hope he can help them turn around.

I can't remember, is he a defense-first-and-foremost coach?

As a fellow Ojibway, I am extremely happy that Ted is back in the NHL - I am concerned though because I don't know if this team has what it takes to improve beyond the way they've been playing. I wish him and Patty all the best though as they try to make a difference in Buffalo.

Great news for the Sabres. A few people we can cheer for as this team moves forward. They have a lot of draft picks and a lot of money to make this team a lot better. There is a lot to be excited about!

He is an "EFFORT' coach and an 'ENERGY' coach.

And he really deserves a true chance to coach again.

I think it will help him now that he is more separated in age from his players.... I've heard rumours about the old Buffalo days where he maybe shouldn't have put himself into certain situations buddying around with his players. The maturity will help him.

It's all about politics with this guy. He's been more than qualified to coach in the NHL and is one hell of a coach to begin with. Welcome back sir!

Second this. I have to add as well to the Buffalo management/ownership.

WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG???

*******es.

Apparently Terry Pegula had to witness first hand the growing hatred of Regier...if you've been in the arena the last few games, the place is either a tomb or angry Fire Darcy chants.

Very happy to see this happen. Wish Nolan and Lalalalalalafontaine all the best!

glad he is back

he been working in Rochester a few years ago as he sat next section to me for a game

and they won a game last night too...

It was so crazy fun there last night...at least half if not over half Leafs fans. What a crazy intense environment. Everything that has been missing at Sabres games for so long. Win or lose, the nightmare is over.
