16/17 The Cup - First Images Revealed!

Id be curious to see if the checklist includes what the inscription was supposed to be as they have done for other products with inscriptions in the past.
 
I haven't wanted a Roy GU or AU card in quite a while, but I think I might try and snag one of these as I think it would display very nicely!
 
Yes, these are quite nice and would love to be lucky enough to get one.

I gotta say, Crosby has an absolutely beautiful auto on this booklet.
 
What a great concept. I've long said that UD should do more cards that link players to a specific moment, game, or career highlight...this definitely fits the bill. Imagine they got their hands on a ticket from Wayne's game where he registered goal #802 to break the record!!
 
Today's images showed, why, love them or hate them, some booklet cards can be the best. The Monumental Patches are annually probably the most visually stunning cards out there. This year the Patty Kane in particular in their preview is outrageous.

Other than that, the only other thing that caught my eye was the Top 10 Picks set. It looks like they are numbered by draft position (i.e. McDavid 1/1, Toews out of 3, etc). Couple nice patches in there as well of Jagr and Perry for the gold base parallel to /8.

The rest of the stuff? Ho hum, blah, usual, redundant, uninspired lots-of-matte-white-pulp.
 
Cards looks nice as always most, but the price for a tin is what this year over 600$ a Tin ? and lucky to get half ur money back if even that..

must say the booklets looks very nice, weird tho that neither gretzky or crosby signed anything else like the others?

Puljujarvi over Tkachuk and Guentzel.... Guess the Edmonton factor is strong. Puljujarvi not even with the big club, unlike the other 5 in that list.
 
Honestly, this product is getting worse each year. Bring back Stanley Cup Titlists, Hardware Heroes. By the way, pretty sure Matthews will be a redemption for his Cup /99

The 3rd Cup preview was pretty sad. Sure, they showed all the key Matthews cards but the chances at any of them is astronomical. The RPAs aren’t very attractive IMO. I’m sure the final preview will be the property ofs, shields, sweet limited logos, etc. Ho hum. The Cup needs a serious revamp or influx of some better concepts and sets.

My bad on the Matthews redemption. Still no Titlists or Hardware Heroes though. By the way, I open cases each year so I don't think I'm a hater haha. Just getting bored of the product

It's a forum, pretty sure were all allowed to state our opinion....
