Not in the best of shape, but pretty cool nonetheless considering only 100 sets were made

Very nice, where is the Orr lol. Guess you were not luck enough to have that one. Congrats and thanks for showing them.

I seriously doubt the accuracy of that number just because someone that was interviewed for the article says they "read it somewhere". Topps never released numbers for production and it seems highly unlikely that they would produce such a small amount - even for a test issue. They turn up more often than you'd think.

My doubt lies in the PSA population report numbers for the Orr alone. Eight 8's, twelve 7's, thirteen 6's....from a limited distribution test run...in California...my guess is most of those cards didn't come out of the back of an ice cream truck that way in 1967. Seems to be lots of higher graded cards out there yet I rarely see low grade copies of commons pop up on eBay and Ive looked for years.

My thoughts exactly. Too many high-graded cards and if more than 100 total are ever graded, it may throw that number out the window (barring any resubmissions, of course).

The ice cream truck method just doesn't seem like the only way those cards would have been distributed. It may have been that way in some parts of California once the Kings and Seals started playing but I don't think we'll ever have a definitive answer.
