Wanted one of these dureene's forever and Ive finally got it after years of trying. 1979 Blackhawks Grant Mulvey. Heavy dureene. Gunzo's and Coane tags in the neck, size 52. NOBR and recycled for preseason to #65. #22 outline can be seen inside. Hammered with front neck stitching pulled right out, blood, board marks, stick marks, burns and 5 team repairs. Chain stitched crest and tommies. This jersey is just awesome.

Durene was a chemical treatment used on cotton that gave the jerseys an almost shiny look in the late 60's and 70's. Basically its the material used after 50's wool and before the 80's mesh. I saw an early 70's Stan Mikita Blackhawks jersey at a HHOF display and pretty much had to have something like it in the collection ever since. The weight to it is crazy, probably the heaviest jersey I own. But the individual chain stitched embroidery on the patches are really something to see up close.
