Was going through some stuff the other day and found my old collection of Xmen and Spider-man cards from the mid 90s. The 1994 Marvel Masterpieces set started it all for me. My friend gave me a pack for my birthday and I just fell in love with art by Greg and Tim Hildebrandt. I remember grabbing packs from the toy store, the comic book store, and pretty much any other place that had them for sale.

The next year Fleer rolled out their Xmen set and I couldn't get enough. Then they dropped their Spider-Man set as well. Making trades with my friends trying to fill out the set and score some of the chase cards that I needed. That was good times.

I still don't have complete base sets or chase card sets. I've seen sealed boxes for sale of ebay and I've been tempted to say I busted a box, since I never did as a kid. They were a lot of fun to rip packs of back then. Some great art, some not so great art. The different inserts, Suspended Animation were always my favorite. Or trying to track down a hologram, those were tough pulls. I've got a few other different sets too, Marvel Universe, a couple other Spider-man ones.

Anyone else go all in on these back then? Still have them or did you end of clearing house at one point? Figured I would share a little nostalgia and something different than sports cards. Thanks for looking.
