Sacrebleu
Upstanding Member,
bought these at the Taylor, MI show today and busted them at home. Of course searching for McD- who else?
here are some hits from the SP Authentic boxes:
The Taylor Hall limited is 4/25 his jersey number. Nice to get a patch but bummer that it was Bibeau. Good to get the Murray YG as well.
Let's talk about the rest of the break in baseball terms. At the plate trying to connect and hit one out of the park by getting a McDavid auto of some sort.
First pitch comes in.........
Ouch- missed that one by a lot- pitcher pulled the string on me. No worries- only one strike so far.
Second pitch on the way.......
Another whiff although a bit of a more quality swing that time. Things are looking pretty grim though.
Third pitch upcoming.......
Stayed alive with a foul back to the screen. Not a great hack but at least contact was made and I live to fight another day.
Fourth pitch and the pressure is intense........
CRACK! solid contact but that shot is still well foul. Confidence on the rise though.
Pitcher winds and throws a fifth time........
Cue the music from The Natural, the light towers are exploding showering sparks all over the field as the ball disappears into the stands. Connor McDavid RC Auto White Ice 2/99
I know pretty corny and dramatic but it definitely saved the break and its a sharp card. Thanks for the read and happy 4th of July to all celebrating!
