2002-03 Pavel Datsyuk Playoff Away Gamer

I have a chance to acquire this jersey and the seller is looking for $1800 usd paypal. Of course it has some desirability due to his sophomore season however the Wings were swept by the Ducks that season, fairly forgettable. Not much wear and tear on this one unfortunately, I will post some pics momentalrily but theres not much to get excited about....a few minor repairs and such. The jersey is not autographed FYI. Can someone here on HI let me know is this seems reasonable? Thanks in advance, Chris.

Good for you! It's a time waster for the most part, but sometimes there's stuff there. I'll ask the group about the Datsyuk gamer and let you know.

Hi Chris, so it turns out a former owner of that jersey is in the group. He says it's a fair price for it. I guess he just traded it recently. Also, if you're interested, he has a team Russia Datsyuk jersey from the 2010 World Championship available for $1400 US.

Additionally, there is someone in the group selling a 2006-07 Datsyuk away gamer for $2500 US. There's a lot more wear and repairs on that one because it was a regular season jersey and worn for longer.

So, if you're comfortable with the price, it seems to be fair.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. The only Datsyuk Gamer I own is from 2011-12 Playoff Away when they went down in 5 to Nashville. The jersey is absolutely beat up with a lot of repairs. It is also Autographed on the back number which I know brings the value down in some collectors eyes. I paid $1200-1300 for that one, but again much more wear and tear.

I truly believe if you wait a couple years you will be able to buy Datsyuk gamers for much less, it's the way the jersey market works. Once they are retired for a few years they come down significantly in price unless it's a 90's or earlier gamer. Datsyuk wore a ton of jerseys in his career so there will be plenty to go around if you are patient.
