That logo in the OPC Whalers patch was NOT the logo Hartford used from 79-93 as the card states. That is the inferior design introduced in 93.

I wish I liked the design of the rings more (I know they're going for throwback looks, but ugly is still ugly) and the retro design is an eyesore - a far cry from the clean presentation of last year's product. I think I will pass on this one, or maybe just pick up the rookies/legends.

OPC seems a bit waterdowned. You used to get two master sets per case but it looks like you are going to be short this year. Assuming they still go with only 50 new rookies.

from the Trilogy write-up.. "Shield variant (#’d to 3)", so UD is following Panini's lead with more shields. They could have left something that was just for The Cup, Ultimate, Dominion. But apparently, moar shields. OPC and Score shields soon to follow?

It is, but the card was just a mock up, showing you what it was going to look like. Yakupov hasn't signed any yet apparently. They could have just left it blank but they put someone else's auto in there, Eberle's I believe.

O-Pee-Chee's base design looks incredible. Parallels.... wow.
It'll be my Jets set for the year, but the number of possible rookies between Redmond, Pasquale and likely Trouba (and I'm sure I'm missing someone)... yeah that's looking intimidating
