2024/25 Artifacts; break

Artifacts has always been one of my favorite products and last year with the Bedard hype I am sad to say I busted three cases because over the years I had been able to pull the autograph redemption card of the number one pick. Didn't happen last year and never came close.

Fast forward to this year and I wasn't sure if I could break any 2024/25 Artifacts but as mentioned always liked the product based on prior years of getting an autograph, rookie redemptions and other goodies in a box.

Stopped by the local yesterday and their shipment had arrived. $150.00 USD including tax so I bought box. I wasn't all that impressed with the break of this box. A couple colored base cards with some numbers on them. A base jersey card and this card:

Box one also had a redemption for a wildcard rookie, so not the main rookie of the team.

For $150.00 I didn't see much value there. NO Auto at all, just a couple single color jersey cards

So not seeing much value in my opinion I bought a second box. This box, had another simple jersey card, no rookie redemption of any kind, a few more worthless colored numbered cards but at least it did have a nice autograph card;

Pleased with the autograph jersey card but for my collecting dollars, I think I am done with 2024/25 Artifacts at two boxes. I just don't see the value there in the product, just my opinion.

For what it is worth, you did fairly well. There are some case hits that you can get and these two guys are some of the best RC’s from the class. Jesper is the future of Minnesota goaltending after Flower leaves and will be the cornerstone in net for a few years. Ollie is looking to be a solid D man for the Ducks. He is just a solid offensive thinking D-man to the Duck’s young D roster and could take the place of Fowler.

I have collected Artifacts from 2006-07 until 2021-22. I liked them better back in the day. The inserts were better, the cards were nicer. Now, we hardly get any foil on a supposed mid-tier product. If I can’t get one RC ina box, there is a problem. This has been an issue since 2016-17. I have gotten multiple boxes without a single RC. You are lucky!

I just don't see the value there in the product, just my opinion.

Just copy and paste this for every release now. Wax prices are idiotic for what we get in return. I'm seriously thinking of quitting this hobby.

Yup, just buy the singles you actually want. Otherwise you are lighting money on fire. 300 would get you a sweet card.

I slowed my wax purchases a lot. I still love opening OPC hobby and all the trading/dealing that comes with it.
There are still nice cards made, and vintage is always an option!

You did good with those 2 boxes. From what I have seen opened, this year's product is not as watered down aka over produced. Price is still too high though.
