Stopped by the local as I am doing a deal with them to reduce the size of my collection. Asked the guys working if anyone had ripped 2023/24 Black Diamond? I was told Paul bought a box and didn't get much and then a customer had just left and he had broken 10 boxes and the workers at the store said he might have gotten $500. worth of value for his $5,000 expense.

So I thought maybe something great was left from the boxes on the shelf?
Picked out the one and only box of Black Diamond that I will rip:

This was the hit of the box:

Nice card but!!!

BD is the worst of the high-end products in my opinion. Some nice subsets like Band of Color, but too many stickers and manufactured patches. I miss the old format with more packs and thin foil cards.

Still, thank you very much for sharing your breaks!

This would not consider it high end at all... its on the same level as synergy

Dave and Adams has 2023/24 Synergy priced at $119.99 per box presale last time I checked their website so $500 vs $119.99 I would say Black Diamond is high end. At least for my dollars it is.

It was one and done for me too. Just such a huge price increase from last year.

My box had 4 cards worth about $20 each and and a bigger hit. The hit was a Tyson Foerster Exquisite Patch to 99.

I agree with you, nice hit but at $500 a box. ugh...
