hey,

apparently this store has cheaper prices than queensway and is located MUCH closer tham going all the way out to the boons, so can anyone in the GTA vouch for this? i plan on going there after work, but just want to know what to expect. thanks for any replies..

Hey

Here's the store info:

401 Convenience
401 Yonge Street
Toronto, ON M5B 1S9
(416) 599-6446

Give us a review after you go?

you bet! plan on picking up some boxes of ICE maybe and depends what singles they have there. just got an email saying they didn't have any spa auto patches though >_<

I can vouch for that. When I was there for all of January, Queensway's prices were definitely better, but as far as being convenient for me, that it was - my hotel was only two blocks away.

It was still quite a shock to me - prices were similar to Alberta, but in 401's case, it was that + 15% tax - 7% GST and 8% PST. It definitely cut down on my ripping in January

i just emailed the guy at 410. ICE boxes are 100 and spa are 120 taxes included. queensway prices are cheaper??

O_O. yah but it's an arm and a leg to get down there. plus when i go there i get some pizza and onion rings so that makes up for the difference and calories lol.

Does 401 even have singles in the store anymore?
Last few times I've been in they haven't, but that was prior to this season.

They're starting to get back into singles, but Queensway by far is the better of the two. It's a bit out of the way if you're central, but you can spend a good hour or two in there looking at cards (if that's your thing).

The alternative is Fastball, who has "the best prices in town, the best selection and is the largest store in Canada".

singles were non-existent, but there is a guy that deals solely with sportscards and i don't think he was in when i was there. they have lots of wax though. even had some 01-02 ultimate collection! 125 a pack though >_<. also plenty of wax from other sports. all high end stuff to. so for wax, it is the best store in the GTA from what i gather. they also have those thicker one touch screwdowns and stands to display your cards. can't find those ANYWHERE!
